Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish Spray is a crystal clear protective finish that can keep interior wood projects looking beautiful. This clear top coat spray protects and adds beauty to woodwork, furniture, and more, safeguarding against scratches, scuffs, and blemishes to preserve the underlying wood surface.

The clear sealer dries and stays crystal clear, making it ideal for use over all Minwax Oil-Based and Water-Based Stains and colors, as well as all wood species including light woods like maple, ash, and birch. The ultra-fast-drying protective spray coating allows for quick recoats and easy soap and water cleanup, providing a hassle-free application process.

This protective wood top coat not only safeguards the natural beauty of the wood but also offers an attractive, classic satin sheen for a modern and subtle look. It is non-yellowing, non-ambering, and low-odor, ensuring lasting protection for your wood projects.

To use, the surface must be dry and free of wax, grease, polish, any foreign matter, or old finishes in poor condition. Sand the surface to a smooth, uniform finish, and remove any dust with a damp cloth. If desired, apply a Minwax Water Based Wood Stain or Minwax Wood Finish stain to the bare wood surfaces, waiting at least 24 hours before applying the Polycrylic Finish Spray.

Shake the can vigorously for two minutes, repeating for ten seconds after each minute of use. Protect adjacent areas from overspray, hold the can vertically 12 inches from the surface, and spray using an even, sweeping motion with slightly overlapping strokes. Apply a thin coat to avoid runs and sags.

Let the first coat dry for at least 30 minutes, then sand with very fine sandpaper (220 grit) to ensure an even finish and proper adhesion of additional coats. Remove all dust, apply a second coat, and repeat the process if additional coats are desired. Three coats are recommended.

After the final coat, allow 1 hour before light handling and 24 hours before normal use. The result is a hard, crystal clear, ultra-fast-drying protective finish that safeguards your interior wood projects and enhances their natural beauty with a sleek, modern satin sheen.
